Mulalley win LABC ‘Best Educational Building’ award for Livity School

Mulalley, along with their project team, Haverstock Associates and the London Borough of Lambeth were delighted to win at the 2014 London Regional LABC Building Excellence Awards. They were awarded ‘Best Educational Building’ for building excellence in the delivery of outstanding construction and workmanship for their work at Livity School in Lambeth. Following on from this regional success, Livity School has also qualified as a finalist for the LABC Grand Finals 2014 in November in London.

Mulalley was appointed by the London Borough of Lambeth to construct this new build school for children with special educational needs. The project included several specialist features including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and sensory trails.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards are a prestigious annual event, celebrating the essence of good buildings using technical excellence, innovation, green and sustainable building quality, good team working, high performance and problem solving.

Mulalley has been successful with two previous LABC awards. In 2012 Mulalley were finalists in the ‘Best Large Housing Development’ category, for recognition of their high standards of construction and workmanship at International House in Woolwich, whilst in the same year our work at Tilford Avenue, Croydon was also recognised with a finalist award in the ‘Best Social or Affordable Housing Development’ category.
