Mulalley apprentices get full time jobs

Mulalley, in partnership with Life Skills, took on two business administration apprentices at their Basildon site office in June 2014. Stacey Ridyard and Hayley Lunn who both live locally worked for a year at the site undertaking a variety of administration tasks.

Both Stacey and Hayley successfully completed their apprenticeships and went on to achieve full time employment. Stacey stayed on at the site as a full time Business Administrator while Hayley went on to full time employment elsewhere.

Stacey said: “During my apprenticeship I learned a lot and gained skills such as time management, prioritising and communicating with customers. I didn’t realise when I started how much was involved in being an administrator. The apprenticeship made me realise that this is what I wanted to do and I was thrilled to be taken on full time.”

Mulalley Operations Director Bruce Benson said: “It is great to be able to provide apprenticeships for young people and I am glad that both Stacey and Hayley found the experience so positive and more importantly that they went on to achieve full time employment.”

Mulalley is the sole contractor on Basildon Borough Council’s internal Decent Homes Programme, delivering £28 million improvement works to half of its housing stock.
