Commitment to employee training results in top industry award

Mulalley was awarded the Outstanding (Large) Employer of the Year award, at the prestigious Pride of Construction ceremony, the annual industry prize-giving run by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).

The Outstanding (Large) Employer of the Year award is designed to recognise companies who employ over 250 members of staff. Mulalley saw off competition in the category from JN Bentley Ltd and Willmott Dixon Partnership.

Eamon O’Malley, Director at Mulalley commented: “Our approach has always been different - it’s been one of innovation and moving our business forward. We recognise that the future of our company rests within the development of our staff. We place a huge emphasis on training and are thrilled to win this award.”

Steve Radley, Policy Director, CITB, commented: “This award recognises a large employer that has stood out against its competitors. It has strong leadership which has resulted in a culture of training and an investment in its people. Mulalley has been a leader in providing high quality and meaningful training and has seen more than 150 trainees join the company over the past 15 years and watched them progress as management trainees and graduates. They truly have helped so many in our industry kick-start rewarding and successful careers. I’d like to congratulate them on this excellent achievement and the richly deserved award.”
