ALI SINEM a Mulalley Construction Management Trainee was awarded the accolade of Apprentice of the Year by Islington Mayor, Councillor Stefan Kasprzyk, and Homes for Islington Chief Executive Eamon McGoldrick at the Residents Family Day on August 29th.
Ali had been recruited by Mulalley via Islington Construction Works, the organisation for construction local labour in and around Islington. This recruitment initiative is part of Mulalley’s commitment to employing local labour and offering training opportunities whilst working with Homes for Islington on their decent homes programme.
Ali’s determination and enthusiasm immediately impressed Lisa Jennings, Mulalley Training Manager, at his interview and he has certainly lived up to expectations since commencing employment in September 2007. This, together with his responsible and pleasant manner, was highlighted in the successful nomination for this award.
Ali’s aim is to obtain a degree in Construction Management and CIOB professional qualification to become a fully qualified Construction Manager
"I was delighted when Mulalley invited me to join them. They are a great company to work for and really care about their
