Children from Eastfield Primary School in Enfield spent a day at Mulalley’s Lytchet Way site to produce a piece of artwork which was entered into the Considerate Constructor Scheme “Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition 2016” and was eventually chosen as a runner-up in the national competition.
Working outside on a very wet day did not dampen the children’s enthusiasm and they worked hard all day to produce an engaging and colourful piece inspired by Banksy.
Eastfield’s Head Teacher, Mrs Jamil said: “We were thrilled to have been invited to be part of such a creative project. Our pupils had an amazing day planning, designing and creating such a wonderful piece of art.”
One of the students Abo said: “It was amazing! It was one of the best days of my life. It was fun because we got to spray paint our design and it was inspiring.”
Mulalley Operations Director Bruce Benson said: “The children worked hard and should be very proud of the vibrant and creative piece they produced. It has really brightened up our site.”
Mulalley is working with Enfield Council to provide new roof top apartments and transform the existing buildings on Lytchet Way.
