Mulalley recently paid a visit to the Year 1 and Year 2 classes at Kingsmoor Academy in Harlow to deliver a safety talk. The Site Manager spoke about the dangers in and around building sites as well as the safety precautions all operatives take to stay safe.
Mulalley mascot Safe Sammy also made an appearance. The children had the chance to ask questions and to try on hard hats, high visibility jackets and goggles. They also discussed the possibility of working in the construction industry in the future.
Ms Angie Atkins, Assistant Principal said: “The children had a great time and especially enjoyed meeting Safe Sammy and trying on the safety clothes. Thank you Mulalley.”
Janice Derry, Savills Customer Care Officer commented: “Mulalley delivered an excellent safety talk to the children which they all seemed to thoroughly enjoy.”
Mulalley Operations Director Colin Watson said: “We are carrying out works in Harlow and this was a wonderful opportunity to develop the children’s’ awareness of site safety and knowledge of the construction industry.”
Mulalley is currently carrying out window replacements, external repairs and decorations to Harlow Council’s residential housing stock. Approximately 10,000 properties will benefit from the programme of works.
Mulalley is currently carrying out the external refurbishment of Harlow Councils housing stock under a partnering contract.
