Supporting Barking and Dagenham’s One Borough Community Day

August 2016

Mulalley sponsored the recent football-themed community day which celebrated the 1966 World Cup success. More than 15,000 people relived the greatest moment of England’s footballing history by watching the 1966 World Cup final match.

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham’s One Borough Community Day at Parsloes Park in Dagenham was a football themed affair as it was held on the 50th anniversary of World Cup victory. West Ham legends Tony Gale and Tony Cottee were there talking tactics.

Mulalley also provided a climbing wall for people to enjoy and had a marquee where staff were on hand to meet with residents.

Leader of the council, Cllr Darren Rodwell, said: “It was great to see so many people from the borough come out and celebrate the day together. It was a huge success and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made it happen, from the events team to all of our sponsors.”

Mulalley Operations Director John Moore said: “It was great to meet so many residents on the day; everyone seemed to have fun celebrating the 50th anniversary of England’s historic win.”

Mulalley is currently working with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham on the Leys Estate regeneration.
