Mulalley supported the sixth annual Christmas Card Competition organised by Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham. A prize giving event was held recently at the Council Chamber which was transformed into Santa’s Grotto.

The winners and runners up from each school were congratulated with prizes, certificates and goody bags. Daniel Moorey, aged 6 from Brady Primary School in Rainham who designed the winning card received a Nintendo 3DS XL as well as a £50 gift card.

Jon Cruddas said: “Six years on and the event has got bigger and better! We start organising the competition during the summer every year and events like this make all the effort worth it. The winner this year was exceptional but as always it was a tough decision with so many quality entries from our talented young people.”

Mulalley Operations Director John Moore said: “It was great to see so many local schools represented at the prize giving event. I would like to congratulate all the children who took part.”

Mulalley is working with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to regenerate the Leys Estate. Phase one is almost completed providing 89 new affordable homes and phase two has already started which will provide an additional 69 homes.
