Mulalley has replaced 1,000 kitchens and bathrooms at Metropolitan homes across London and the Home Counties over the past 12 months, benefiting thousands of residents.
This milestone has been reached in the middle of a comprehensive two-year renewal programme, which is currently being rolled out by the Housing Association as part of its commitment to maintain all of its properties at the government’s Decent Homes Standard.
Lambeth resident Abdi Alasso, whose kitchen was the thousandth unit to be replaced, commented: “I’m very happy with the new kitchen – it’s a big improvement on the old one. When friends and relatives come around they’re always commenting on how nice it looks.”
Jenny Danson, Executive Housing Services Director at Metropolitan, said: “We are committed to maintaining our properties to modern standards and providing our residents with warm, comfortable homes. This is why it’s important to us to invest in upgrades of everything from windows and doors to roofing and, of course, bathrooms and kitchens. We’re proud to have achieved this milestone for our residents.”
Bruce Benson, Operations Director at Mulalley commented: “We are proud to be working with Metropolitan on this renewal programme, bringing more people high quality kitchens and bathrooms. It’s been great making such speedy progress over the last year, and we look forward to continuing this work into the New Year.”
