This week is National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2025, and as part of Mulalley’ s activities celebrating all things apprenticeship, our Head Of Social Value has been supporting Hackney New City College with their Career Insight Week.

Julian Sanz visited the college this week to host 4 “Career Insight” sessions for their Bricklaying and Plumbing Students. Our presentation covered information about the construction industry, the difference between Tier 1 Contractors and Subcontractors and the wealth of opportunities currently available to students due to the huge skills shortage in the country. Julian gave advice on applying for vacancies, making yourself standout and the importance of CSCS Cards and utilising work experience opportunities to secure job roles.

In total we engaged with 80 pupils over the 2 days.

Mulalley is currently working on behalf of Hackney Council on Nightingale Estate, a design and build scheme comprising of a total of 72 homes for social rent located in a single five storey block. As well as the new homes and community centre, the regeneration will include the central Public Realm space, with improvements to the paving, lighting, play space and soft landscaping features.
